Major refurbishment project on Glasgow’s waterfront gets underway

Real estate investor AM Alpha has begun overseeing its multi-million pound office development project on Glasgow’s waterfront.
The project team includes building contractor Clark Contracts, architect Michael Laird Architects and project manager Reith Lambert, who are set to complete the 200 Broomielaw project later this year. JLL has also been appointed as letting agent alongside Reith Lambert.
The work will see all floors and common areas refurbished, while the entrance to the building will be relocated to the centre to allow for the creation of a new reception and waiting area, business lounge and a dedicated concierge for all occupants.
Once complete, the site will contain 79,300 sq ft of Grade A office space over nine levels, with large and flexible floor plates ranging from 8,665 sq ft – 9,041 sq ft. The 7th floor also features a private terrace with views of the River Clyde.
Martin Lemke of AM Alpha, said: “We’re making extensive changes to 200 Broomielaw in order to meet the highest demands of future occupiers. The building should offer the maximum level of comfort in daily work and create an environment in which employees feel comfortable and safe.
“From the flexible floor plates with splendid river views to the excellent cycling and changing facilities, to name just two points out of many, it will make the work-life balance for occupiers’ staff easier to achieve whilst working collaboratively with colleagues. We are excited by the plans and look forward to seeing the new and improved building take shape as the works progress.”
